Hey all my STH peeps!

Not sure if this was posted before anywhere here on this site, but wanted to share me findings....

671798-001 666172-001 MNPA19-XTR HP 10GB ETHERNET NETWORK INTERFACE CARD W/CABLE

Seller actually will take $18 best offer.

I really like this auction because it comes with the more valuable 10ft DAC passive cable. Those bad boys are expensive by themselves! All in all, a single port 10gb sfp+ card with bracket, plus a 3m/10ft dac cable for $18 is not bad. Not bad at all. I have already bought several. The DAC cable actually means more to me than the single port card. I feel like this is a great deal.

Link to the Windows Drivers for easy access:
(So you ain't gotta search all over the fightin' internet looking for em')

http://www.mellanox.com/page/products_dyn?product_family=32&mtag=windows_sw_drivers

Update: 05/23/16: Added a few links to cheap eBay listings.

If you want just the cable itself, this seller is selling the 3M cables for about $12. Seller will take $10 best offer for one. Not too bad if you're just in need of a single Twinax cable, as they do go for abit more on the site:

SFP-H10GB-CU3M CISCO SFF + TWINAX COPPER CABLE 3M PASSIVE

Also, if you only want a few of the single port mellanox cards without any cables, or you already have cables, seller is taking $28 for the lot of two cards with a best offer. That's $14.00/card:

Lot of 2 Mellanox ConnectX-2 Single-Port SFP+ 10GBE Network Card MNPA19-XTR

Remember, if you want the card and the cable, it's best to use the original posted auction above, as seller is still taking $18 bucks best offer for the card and the cable together. That's still the better deal if you want/need both.

Hey! Thanks Patrick! Yeah, I knew someone had done something on this before! It sure is a great deal though. The card isnt plug and play in windows, but the drivers for windows 8.1 are easily found on mellanox's website. They even have drivers for server 2012 and windows 10 as well. If using in zfs (nas4free/freenas) the newer firmwares have the driver modules built in and load on bootup.

They work excellently in the LB6M, and i am using several of them now to connect my servers and media htpc.

Is this card supported by VMware (on the HCL)? If so, what can I look for to find it, as I cannot find it searching by 'xtr' or 'mnpa19'.

I ordered two, I'll let you know how it goes (I'm on ESXi 6) when it arrives.

I believe the card works great in VMware my peeps. Mellanox actually supports the card pretty well. You can find drivers for pretty much most of the OS'es out there.

Anyone know if it's port can be partioned in multiple NICs?
I like to have four functions/vNICs/whatever-you-want-to-call-it from it.
For VLAN purposes.

I've got 5 of these and the DAC cable is Cisco. And, I have them connected to the LB6M, works perfectly. I was trying to get the firmware updated on these. See other thread 10Gb SFP+ single port = cheaper than dirt
I would like to see iSCSI boot options with FlexBoot. But the FlexBoot version that's got the boot gui is not available for any of the Mellanox ConnectX-2 cards. An older version is available but does not have gui. Will only do iSCSI via PXE.
If anyone figure out how to get FlexBoot version 3.4.460 on to these cards let me know. I've been growling everywhere.

Odd that it's cheaper to Denmark then it is to The Netherlands. He quoted $61 for me.

But I won't buy one u till I know I can partition the port into multiple vNICs.

I've also had a quote to the netherlands, but for 4 cards it was $46 in shipping.
Which still seems kinda pricey.

If you plan to ship regular like I do from the US, then open a shipito.com account, and it becomes much cheaper by consolidating shipments.
For the odd purchase then the 4 @ cards and 4 @ SFP+ cables @29.50 USD pet set of card and cable each, still sounds like a fabulous deal to me....

So not fair that you gotta pay so much more in shipping! Almost negates the savings on this awesome deal...
