Mellanox QSFP+ MC2207310 Optical Transceiver

Does anyone know if these QSFP+ transceivers can be used with standard off the shelf fiber cables? They still have ~3000 of these for $1.50 ea and folks have bought almost that many. Wonder why they chopped off the fiber cables in the first place. You can get 10 of these for about $25 shipped.

Looks like they are still trying to unload the same mistake that was made years ago by having someone cut all the cables before removing them.

if you have a fusion splicer those are a great deal, otherwise not so much
