Might explain the firesale...Nice deal. I have two of those. They do not have onboard memory so you cannot use them in Solaris environments. For Windows, very simple installation IIRC.

MS was marketing SMB Direct with ConnectX3's very near to wire speed at the InterOp in Vegas. The setup was the Romley platform with dual CPU's and Fusion IO II drives. They demo'd 5.8 GBs point to point.But whats that good for if your hardware is the limiting factor ???

@ehorn, how do you have your target setup? Also, from what I have read the ConnectX2 and 3 cards do a much better job at TCP/IP checksum offloading which will help SMB and IPoIB throughput. They are also much more expensive.
How bout something like this?... Currently im on a mission trying to find a PCIx one for my firewall.
