Mellanox ConnectX-3 - HP 649281-B21 does not bring up link with QSFP+-Transceiver

Hi!

I am using two HP-Mellanox ConnectX-3. The cards are working fine with 40 GbE and DACs. BUT: If I use QSFP+-Modules, they do not bring up a link - tested with:

- FS.com MLNX-Modules
- Arista UNIV Modules

Both modules are working fine in my ConnectX-3-cards, but not in the ConnectX-3. They simply show "no link".

I am using this firmware:

Do you have any idea on how to use the modules in the ConnectX-3 cards?

Can you flash the actual OEM mellanox firmware using this post? https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...net-dual-port-qsfp-adapter.20525/#post-198015

it seems you flashed HP's custom image, and it would not surprise me at all if they have vendor locks on optics, if not something else
