I have a couple of Intel DC S3500 SSD disks and both show Media_Wearout_Indicator as 0. At the moment these disks are setup as boot drives for a server. I have not had any issues yet. Are these drives in danger of immediate failure?

The figures look pretty solid to me, I wouldn't be losing any sleep over them. Like any disk of course, there is always that little risk of catastrophic cascade controller failure, but Intel disks are among the highest performers on the market in terms of reliability, so...minimal risk of that happening :)

you should be looking at the "value" column, not the "raw value" column, which is 100 for both drives--like new

Does it vary between manufacturers?

My Samsung 850 EVO SSD reports numbers for both 'raw value' and 'value'.
Code:
ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAG VALUE WORST THRESH TYPE UPDATED WHEN_FAILED RAW_VALUE
177 Wear_Leveling_Count 0x0013 095 095 000 Pre-fail Always - 98

Yes it varies between manufacturers. In most cases the normalized value is more useful. (Except if you want something like the actual number of sectors read or the actual temperature.) The normalized values should range from 100 (highest) to 0 (lowest) with sometimes a critical threshold higher than zero.
