Purchased what was listed on ebay as a MCX354A-FCBT (the Dual FDR 56Gb/s or 40/56GbE version according to Mellanox).

What shows up is a MCX354A-QCBT (the Dual QDR 40Gb/s or 10GbE version). Looking at the hardware it seems pretty much the same and there are some threads that suggest I can flash the -FCBT firmware to the card.

I'm needing to use the cards for 40 GbE. Can the -QCBT do that if flashed with the -FCBT firmware or should I return it to the seller?

Should be fine for 40 GbE, but flashing is no problem either.
On the other hand officially the Q should be cheaper than the F, so I'd contact the seller and complain a bit;)
