I wonder though if TDP and power consumption keep going up, Intel certainly can make some high frequency chips but they have their downsides.

HPE are being very selective on the 62xx they are certifying in that system, there is some what I would call mainstream options missing that are going to options in the DL3xx rack mount systems.
