Marvell 88SE9123 (updated) VIB for esx 5.5 ?

Hey,

Just using this adapter for the time being, and I was hoping to hand through this adapter to add a local datastore.

Marvell 88SE9123 SATA 6GB/s Controller.

If someone can point me to a generic package for most marvell cards that would be awesome!

Ok,

So I found a link to a modified AHCI community VIB file that adds the support for these chipsets from this website :

ESXi « 環境ã•んã·る

It's in japanese, but google translate did a decent job.

If anybody needs this VIB file, let me know, I can throw it up on my webhost.

One quick note: It seems as though the drive can format and prepare the drives and use them, it fails when deleting the actual partitions. I had to manually delete the partitions (previously used SSD), inserted it with no paritions/formatting and it was able to prepare and I am now running a VM on that drive.

Sorry to bump this but did you ever get this working - I am trying to get the Marvell 88SE9123 VIB for esx 5.5 and its doing my bloody head in?

Sorry, I ended up buying an IBM M1015 card instead. It simply worked with no issues whatsoever, and the performance was much better.
