Hello. I purchased an IBM M5014 ServeRAID from eBay that claimed to include CacheCade Pro v2.0. As far as I can tell, they failed to include the hardware key. I just want to double-check with you folks that I know what I'm doing.

I've read that you can't use a CacheCade hardware key made for non-IBM cards with ServeRAID cards, even if you cross-flash the card using a generic LSI firmware. That one must use a specific hardware key called ServeRAID Series Performance Accelerator Key, and not a software key, and plugs into the same two-pin connector just as other non-IBM Is this correct? If so, I've definitely been screwed as my card didn't come with a hardware key.
