M2 to U2 adapter does not need a pcie slot but an empty m2 slot;)

@William has a notebook with several of these.
I am running a Dell Precision 7740. Normal version with the big battery has 4x M.2 slots. Mine has the small battery and 3x M.2 + 1x SATA which I plan on using for up and coming product.

I use one 8TB for a boot drive, two others for a RAID 0, so right now 24TB of flash.

The version of the 7740 I picked up has only Intel GPU, I use a RAZOR CORE X Chroma for eGPU needs at the desk. Even with a small battery and no Quadro battery life is several hours longer than one with a Quadro.

Anyway it's a fun laptop :)

Still trying to figure out how to get two different screens, one on the 7740 and the other through the eGPU to 4K screen. Right now they both are the same image.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the use case for 24TB storage in a notebook.
(Disclosure, I run a SM883 with ~4TB in my ThinkPad; and it took me long to get it filled up with content that I've not created myself (4K & DSLR))

Testing mostly... and.. well.. because :)
This machine will be my primary on the go workstation, it will hold most of my NAS files also.
Working for Sabrent helps out also with getting these drives.

At some point the 2x 8TB in RAID will get used is something else.

Can't wait for the day (looking at 2028) where I can have an NVME nas that replaces my current setup(s) for only 1.5-2x the cost of current easy shucks
