Hey

I see in the compatibility list for the LSI 9240-8i, some 3 TB drives are supported (Seagate es.2 for example)
But does it support the Western Digital WD30EURS SATA ? Or other 3TB SATA consumer drives.

anyone got experience on this ?

All SAS2x00 (LSI9240/9260 etc) based controllers support 3TB+ drives.
There was a Firmware update back in late 2009 that sorted it out.

LSI would have tested Enterprise drives to help the server OEMs that buy 1000's of drives for big controller customers
