I purchased a 9400-8e and have been trying to update the firmware file to P24 from broadcom. I keep getting firmware flashimage is invalid. I have tried jumping J4 and try flashing in EFI and still same errors.

I am thinkings its fraud because the FW version is 07.00.01.00 and there is no official version for it.

I am at a loss of words, I do not know what to do anymore as its unable to flash no matter what I do, I even tried goin to P12 since P24 might have been too high of a jump. I tried flashing with noverchk, nosigchk, force and all unable to flash.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Update I seem to have fixed it. For future reference here it is.

Seems like the previous? person failed the flash as the P7 version segfaulted so I put the efi version a usb and booted flashing the card to P7 again, then after that was a success I was able to flash to P24. Finally!!!

Do you still have:

Code:
Vendor Id = 0x1000
Device Id = 0xAF
SubVendor Id = 0x1414
SubDevice Id = 0x3030
The 0x1414 I believe designates this card as a Microsoft OEM card?

There is no '3030' device listed under '1414' "Microsoft" in /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids or even anything close to that (it jumps from 0x008e to 0x5353). The 1414 list only contains about 20 or so entries and none of them are similar.
