Anyone got any experienses with the Lsi Sas 9201-16I/E?
I'm thinking of putting the 16E version in my main chassis, and then connect external chassis to that.
That way I could expand to up to 5 chassis (including the host) without buying another card, and have them all run on a separate SAS-port
I guess the only problem with that would be to find out which expanders works with it.
According to this thread it works with the Chenbro CK12803 expander, which I guess could do, but it's only a 3.0 Gb/s card.
According to the same thread it works in ZFS Guru, so I guess that means it works in FreeNAS/FreeBSD aswell?
And according to this blogpost it works with both Solaris and Linux, and I guess Windows is a given.
What do you guys think? Would it be a good card? Anyone know/think it'll run with the upcomming Chenbro expander?
