so i have a supermicro X9dri-ln4f+ alongside an lsi 9270-8i sas controller. i have bios set to defaults, and launch storage option rom policy set to legacy. but bios doesnt show the card, cards firmware splash screen doesnt show up in post, and windows 11 doesnt even see the card. even when i install drivers card doesnt show up in device manager. im stumped bios in on version 3.4 if it helps what are my options? the only thing i have tried is removing the jumpers for the SMBBUS on the motherboard

i know this card works as my lga 1150 system sees the card i have also tested an ibm m1015 card in my server and it works

Flash BIOS/EFI on your card, it might have been removed.
Even if the boot ROM(s) are absent, it should still be seen in the OS shouldn't it?

To rule out a windows problem, you can try a bootable linux distro and see if it's observed there.

The card works in another machine? Booting linux is a good idea, do that with the card plugged in and run lspci -nn and see if the LSI card is listed in the output. If it is then it's alive

It's exactly how I posted it. It's part of a package called pciutils or pci-utils and most distributions should have it available if not already installed.
