Cheers for pointing that one out.
PDF has it as a PCIe 3.0 11x lanes, I think the spreadsheet they used got the add cell+1 thing happening :D

Adding now, it replaces the 9200-16e I take it.
Wonder if we'll see a replacement for the 9201-16i
And a PCIe 3 version of the 9202-16e

Hello,

I'm afraid I'm not contributing, but asking for help. I just bought a second hand IBM OEM SAS9201-8i HBA card. The only place this model number seems to exist is in the ebay item where I bought it. LSI tell me it is definitely an IBM OEM. Physically it seems to be the same as the LSI SAS 9211-8i shown at http://www.servethehome.com/lsi-sas-2008-raid-controller-hba-information/ except the SAS9201-8i is missing what I guess is the RAID chip just above the gold PCIE card contacts.

My question - is there a firmware/bios on the LSI website that will safely update this card?

Many thanks
Ben
