So I got ahold of a LSI 9300-8E card last year. i finally have a motherboard that can boot with it but after boot the hard drives are not being found/populated. It works just fine with a sas2 external card. I've tried going through and flashing any of the available P1-P14 firmwares of the lsi 9300-8e firmware to it however it refuses to flash due to a early gen chipset *not supported*.
Anyone got any ideas? Normally i'd email lsi and ask if they have any firmware for it however after the broadcom takeover i can't find any way to contact them without a support contract
I've made a copy of a the current firmware on the card just in case. The bios and uefi bios flash just fine to it.
