The only problem is finding cheap SFF-8088 cables, the cheapest SFF-8088 to 4x SATA I could find was $12/ea..

just keep in mind, this card is HUGE... like GPU size huge, just not as thick. The newer 9201-16E is a better size, but costs more.

This will be handy for some external Sans Digital DAS.
I was using 2 cards to connect to 2 boxes which should now drop to 1 card.
The LSI chips get hot so fewer cards should be much better.

Though I think these are plain with no cache. I should check if they handle Raid 5.

its like old school first-gen full ISA SCSI cards.

The newer 9201-16E is a better size, but costs more.

This has less power draw than the 9201-16e due to different power IC's and less compact.

If space is at a premium, a BRAND NEW 9201-16e can be had for $35

HBA only so no RAID. No cache either.
