Intel Xeon E5-2603 CPU 1.8GHz 4-Core Processor 10MB 6.4GTs LGA2011 SR0LB | eBay
$2.80 each with free shipping and a make offer, seller has over 500 for sale.
It's a E5-2603 four core without hyperthreading or turbo boost and runs at 1.8 ghz.
If you need a socket 2011 cpu for test purposes or do not need very high performance these are too cheap to not get a couple of them.
Or if you just need a cpu and care more about noise or heat issues these are great.
One Open Compute dual node server running four these at %100 it uses 163 watts at the wall.
So thats 81.5 watts for each dual 2011 socket motherboard.
The O.C. server booted up and idling it runs at 104 watts so that's 59 watts for four cpu's running all cores at %100.
Which is very surprising since Intel shows them to be 80 watts TDC each.
Needless to say they run VERY cool and quiet, you can barely hear the fans run.
EDIT: Looked through my notes and found the temps are 45c and 47c running %100. Also found that the last time I checked my OC servers were idling at 104w not 115 so I corrected my post.
