Hello,
Please forgive my english.
I want to build a storage server , 24/7 available , ZFS three way mirror on 2 x 1TB sata and 1 usb 1TB drives.
No high performance, just reliable storage with low power consumption.

TL;DR
A bad dimm on my laptop gave me corrupted data on disks.
Looked for reliable storage and found ZFS.
Taken Solaris 11.3 in a kvm VM on my laptop for testing for 2 months.
Liked it very much.
Because me and my son usage pattern ,he access his data during daytime and me mostly at night,
laptop closed or unavailable some parts of the day, I made a storage server with:
Intel D945GCLF , Atom and 2GB DDR2 non-ecc .
Lack of ECC and limited RAM made me to start searching an alternative to it.
So here we are.
Help !

It is very hard to beat hp microserver | eBay for the price. You would be hard pressed to buy a NAS with those specs for less than that.
Thank You !
I've bought a new one from a local store .
HP microserver Gen8 Celeron with 4GB RAM.
3x Toshiba 1TB 2.5" Laptop HDD's for ZFS data ( mirror with spare )
1 SSD 120GB (80GB cache, 8 GB slog and remaining for overprovision)
LZ4 compression and deduplication
Solaris 11.3 works very well.
Installed rpool on 2x 32GB micro-sd cards ( Lexar High Endurance, Part # LSDMI32GBBNLHEA)
Solaris can shutdown the microserver and persistent L2ARC allows us to
wake-on-lan the server and shutdown after files transfer.
Max power during file transfer was 45.7 W.
Very pleased !
Thank You !
