That happens. I already have half a dozen, else I'd buy a few more =P

They do use a bit more power on write, but they also have more write endurance than just about anything else you'll find for the (used) price.

What's the plausibility of using a FusionIO (or similar card) in an external PCIe chassis (Dell C410X)?

16 of these in a stripe sounds very very appealing......

They work just fine, but you have to use the half-height cards.

I'd look into something more-dense like a chassis from One Stop Systems, or Magma if you really want to do a bunch of external cards.
