Hi there, could you lend me a hand? I'm looking for the BIOS firmware for the Microsoft Project Olympus C2030 (17067-1A) motherboard. I bought this board from Amazon, but I noticed it doesn't come with a BIOS chip, so I decided to get a W25Q256. The thing is, I don't have the BIOS file. Would anyone be able to share this file with me? Also, the seller mentioned that this board supports only up to 205W TDP, but I have an 8175M (ES) CPU which has a TDP of 240W. Will it still work properly? If not, is there any way to make this board compatible with ES and higher TDP processors? Thanks a lot!

i have never seen this 2nd gen cerberus board working.
cerberus = Root of Trust Firmware.
a BIOS from other board should not work, it is initialized with other PCH serial.
note the 24 pin is propriätäry not ATX, and the 8 and 4 pin are Drive Power outputs, not Inputs.
the used BMC ASPEED doesn't support VGA.

Hey there, I have one of these boards I have been trying to get running. Did you try to power yours up? I am waiting for the mail to deliver me a CH314 programmer I ordered. When it is here I can try to grab the firmware for you!

thx, you also have the C2030 (17067-1A) motherboard on your side? I'm looking forward to good news from you. So far, I haven't been able to boot this motherboard, and I think I need its BIOS file. Also, could you open the socket of the BIOS chip and take a picture? I want to confirm if I made any mistakes.

Thx you for your message. AFAIK, that someone managed to get those LEDs on the motherboard to light up, but they couldn't see anything displayed on the screen, perhaps because it was connected via HDMI? However,They could switch caps. Unfortunately, after I requested a backup of the BIOS file, they accidentally burned out the chip while trying to read and write to it, so now there are two people who need this file XD.

If possible, can you get the BMC firmware?thx. The slots of the BMC chip look like the same as the BIOS slots.

Hey there, I managed to get my board running! I will link my youtube video below.
Once my programmer arrives, I will do my best to rip both firmwares for you!

BIOS chip in in its own clamshell,. it looks to be the same chip. Model is WINBOND 250256JVEQ - 1949.

Congrats, that's really great news! Also, the chip model you mentioned should be 25Q256JVEQ, not 250256JVEQ, right?

Correct, its hard to see! :)
For the clarification of motherboard enthusiasts following this, the Microsoft Project Olympus C2030 comes in two versions: 17067-1A and 15061-1B. The difference between them lies in whether the BIOS chip can be removed. Additionally, the BIOS chip used is the 25Q256JVFQ, which has a SOIC-16-300mil package; the 25Q256JVEQ is not compatible with this motherboard, as it comes in a WSON-8-EP (6.1x8) package.

Project Olympus C2012 15061-1A/B only 1th gen Xeon support.
Project Olympus C2030 17067-1A = Project Cerberus = Root of Trust
Thank you for your message. So, in fact, it should be like this: The difference between C2012 15061-1A and 15061-1B lies in that A can have its BIOS chip removed, while B cannot. The distinction between C2030 17067-1A and C2012 15061-1A is their different CPU support ranges. Therefore, they are different, except for sharing the same motherboard layout. Additionally, I found that Microsoft's C2080 is also using this layout. C2080 is a LGA4189 motherboard.

15061-1A have two BIOS chips, switchable with jumper,
one BIOS supports stepping B1 50653, the other not.
I found that Microsoft's C2080 is also using this layout. C2080 is a LGA4189 motherboard.
great find, i bet wiwynn OEM again ?

I attempted to use the CH341 to read the previously burned BIOS chip. The first half was read normally, but the second half could not be read. The file size is approximately 34 MB. Is this correct?

33554432bytes.
use NeoProgrammer or AsProgrammer. select correct chip type manualy.

I correctly selected the chip model. I think the BIOS program on this chip might be damaged; the bytes are not equal, but they do approach this value. Do you have the correct firmware on your end?
