Folks, I have some server blades that have the AOC-MTG-i4S NIC on them. I'm having LLDP problems and wanted to upgrade the firmware. Supermicro's page for the card has firmware available (9.0 and 9.4) but they don't perform the upgrade. Both require version 7.x as the starting point and all these NICs have version 5.05. The update instructions in the download refer to an intermediate upgrade that I can't find any reference for on the internet. Before I attempt to ask Supermicro about this I figured I'd see if anyone here has been through this process.

Please see Instruction.txt for step by step instruction on how to update firmware.
This NUP package only updates F/W 7.x to 9.40
6.01 F/W needs to update to 7.20 first - using MTGi4S2C1_NUP - before using this NUP package.

I did open a support ticket with Supermicro and somewhat surprisingly they did respond and send me the firmware update I needed to perform the firmware update.

Supermicro has always been decent to me on old stuff for my production system.
