I am looking to build a very small and unassuming secure linux server and have been searching in vain for a NUC-sized server or mainboard with ECC RAM support. Are any out there? The only one I've found that is close to my needs is Supermicro X12STL-IF (X12STL-IF | Motherboards | Products | Super Micro Computer, Inc.) but the form factor is Mini-ITX which is very big for my use case. In addition I need a fast M.2 interface, at least 8GB of DDR3 or DDR4 ECC RAM and support for a low wattage but relatively fast AMD or Intel processor. Cost is not an issue but size and quality components are.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Isn't there a NUC that takes Xeons? I imagine that would be pretty much what you need.
