Looking for a 1U server build that will move data fast

Anyone have any ideas that can help me get this guy built?

Requirements:
All SSD drives (20TB total storage) M.2 are fine, 2.5 as well.
1U (only have a little remaining space in my rack)
FAST transfer of data (dual 10G ethernet nics?)
no GPU requirements - total server build
FAST CPU (I was looking at the i7 6950x but was told XEON might be better to move data)

any and all help would be great!

What is your network? Where is the data going to? Why do you need a fast CPU?

10x U.2 drives with 2TB drives will give you capacity.

You are likely better off with a more power efficient CPU. On networking, if you have 20TB of flash you can start talking about multiple 100GbE links using NVMe.

Are you planning to run any applications/ containers/ VMs on the node? What is the budget?

The 10x U.2 drives install via hot swap trays in the front panel. They also generally have power loss protection and such that consumer drives lack.

If you are not using applications, the E5-2650 V4 or E5-2630 V4 chips would be my go-to options. With 10x NVMe you will want 40x PCIe lanes just for the drives so you likely want a dual CPU configuration. If money is no object, the E5-2650 V4 is a better bet with the faster QPI bus.

thank you. wouldn't the 2699 v4 be a better proc, given the clock speed can be increased?

Clock speed matters less than you may think. The bigger issue is moving data to the network.
