I am just building this setup with a Ryzen Ryzen 9 7950X so I can do some VMS on my unraid. I have installed DDR5 64GB Non ecc ram and an NVME to just test things out. It takes a super long time to post and when it does, it only offers bios and boot options super annoying. I managed to update the BIOS to the latest but even then I am having issues.

Am at a loss, some of the issues I am facing.

  1. Super long time to post
  2. Not detecting my NVME drive
  3. B4 error code which means something with USB devices I think
  4. Does not boot to USB even when USB is selected with a windows installer (message saying REDFISH SENDING CONFIGURATION TO ODATA SERVER) on the screen.
I cant get past these issues. I am sure others issues will arise late, but hoping to resolve these first.

Could it be my RAM? What RAM modules do you guys recommend for this? It posts and shows the 2 DIMMS installed though.

Where am I going wrong?

Are any CPU pins bent? Sounds like a possible issue.

Did you run a pass of Memtest?

Hi try removing one of the memory stick and see if it boots. As for nvme, is it enabled 8n BIOS?

Yes enabled. Also took out one stick to see if it boots, doesn't even boot with 1. Has to have 2

Any advice on which memory sticks are compatible ? Maybe it'd a memory compatibility issue.

Please be more elaborate and follow the usual steps for debugging memory issues.
Move a single stick through the slots to see if that single stick works in any of the slots, then swap the stick to the other one you have, try that again.
With that, you should be able to confirm
- dead Slots
- dead channels
- dead sticks.
