Does anybody here have any experience with motherboard testing?
After burning 5 of my Xeons in a Gigabyte MD71-HB0 motherboard (check my other thread here), I was wondering how to prevent such a disaster in the future. I saw this CPU tester on eBay
and I would like to know how does this work? Does it only check whether all pins are ok? Because it seems it won't tell you the voltage. And also, why are there different testers in the bulk? What do they do? I tried to google it but haven't found much information regarding this topic.
