Hi .. I'm usually a white-box kind of guy but am considering recommending an HP Proliant DL20 Gen10 1U machine. We could get the base model which has 2 LFF (3.5") non-hot-swap drive bays.

Will I be able to somehow stuff a Samsung 2.5" SATA 860 PRO drive in there, with at least a moderate level of mounting security (one step beyond duct tape is fine)?

I'd love to put an M.2 NVMe drive in there, but I understand I have to get one with an extra board on it to do that, and I can't figure out how much that costs on the HP site. Any help there would also be appreciated. Thanks!

to add nvme to DL20 gen10 , you could direct insert nvme m.2 card to m2 slot. it was option direct use the m2 slot to install nvme card only or use other ILO+COM+nvme 3to1 card. I use 4sff mode Gen10
