Thanks :)

Yeah that's a killer price... might have to think about that, I really liked that server.

I am trying to resist buying another workstation I don't really need but this seems too appealing to resist. Looking over William's review isn't helping either.
What chipset does it use? I am wondering which CPUs would make a nice upgrade for it.
I see this particular model is missing a one of the drive bays? It also doesn't have the redundant PSU option and a ATX PSU instead.

Edit: Hmm, seems like the max CPU is a intel e5 2440 v2.

I haven't looked but that server was pretty heavy, do they offer free shipping ? ;)

Yeah it didn't make much noise. Its a nice machine :)
You will notice on that review that the heat sinks could be better. When I put that rig under heavy load it did throttle. But generally they were ok.

Yeah I had to fight it, but I will pass on it. My biggest problem is filling it with drives.

Alright good, all the pessimism in here helped to stop me from wasting money on this.

Yeah I have a couple servers here now that I am working on drive load outs for, I do not need more boxes to fill with drives LOL

When I saw this thread I was actually thinking of the TD350 which uses the V3/DDR4 setup.
Lenovo ThinkServer TD350 Tower Server Review

So many of the Lenovo boxes have close to the same names it all becomes a blur after a while.
