All the ones I found on eBay were new from Lenovo parts suppliers. It was half the price to buy from China, but I'm in the UK so YMMV.

I noted the P320 fan assembly in the original post, that should in theory work but <insert disclaimer here>.

Will do a price check on Taobao. Hopefully shipping is not too expensive.
I see your comment on x8 or x16 may prevent to card from working. Does it to only apply to the NIC card?

I have only seen this problem discussed when people are trying to install the official Lenovo Thunderbolt card. I use the four port Intel NIC with a "16x" riser, no issues.

that’s very helpful. This will open up options. Will order different risers once the New Year holiday week is over.

I just received the bracket and riser after 2 weeks wait. When installing Intel X540-T1, one corner of the card will not sit flat due to a reinforcement plate of the chassis.
@cptcrunch did you have to trim the pcb for the card to fit?

Thats why you check it beforehand if it will fit. I only know for sure that mellanox cx311/312 and 353 and 354 fit. Yeah, you can do dual 40(limited by pcie x8 though) in these babies, if you really want to. Neither of them would align with i350-4 bracket screw locations though!

The card is 15cm long. I do have a connect-3 card I can use but I’m trying to avoid buying 2 sfp+ rj45 transceiver.

Stepping back for a moment, there is space under the chassis reinforcement. Tucked the card underneath it before plugging in the riser with the nic mounted.

though the baffle is not as long as the back plate. Only 1 screw is used to secure it to the chassis. Leaving 3-4 mm gap at the other end.

the metal parts can be removed
I like to avoid cutting into sheet metal. There is room under the silver bracket to tuck the card under before pushing down onto the pcie slot.
But I was surprise to see the Lenovo bracket do not fit. It can only be secured on one end. It replaces the VGA port which came with the unit.

@986box it does fit.

... this is the 4 port 1GbE card, but you get the idea. I think you have the wrong baffle, that one is for the later models (M90q etc).

This difference in baffles was not very explicit in the reference post and arguably in the wrong place (a sub-bullet under "PCIe cards"), I have updated it to make it more clear. Sorry about that.

Any way to check what the part number is? Lenovo part list do not breakout the part numbers for the bracket. Just got off the phone with Encompass, rep was unable to identify the correct. I ordered 5M10U50350 and rep thinks its should be 01MN875. Luckily I checked the picture before confirming the exchange.

I've never seen the baffle sold individually by Lenovo, only as part of a FRU which usually includes the riser, baffle, and potentially the i350 card itself (which I list in the original post), and I can't find it by itself in the parts list either. This is one of the reasons I suggested in the post that you buy through Taobao, because there you do seem to be able to buy the baffle by itself or as part of a package that includes the riser, a few necessary screws, etc which doesn't seem to be an official Lenovo offering (even though mine came in a Lenovo branded box). There's a link directly to the item via Superbuy in the original post at the start of the thread, the baffle is ~$10 plus shipping there.

01MN875 is definitely not the right item, based on my Googling that looks like the piece that deflects the airflow at the front of the case. 5M10U50350 is what @tinfoil3d identified as the M90q baffle (it's also listed in the original post) - which you already have - and not the right one for the previous gen Tinys, but if you've seen photos of what you're being sent and you're confident it is what you need then maybe they just mislabeled it.

I suspect it as much when I placed the order from Encompass. I reached out to my contact in China to purchase from Taobao on my behalf.

It's good if you have a contact there, although Superbuy will do all the purchasing, inspection, onward shipping etc for you for China if needed too.

* Not affiliated, just a happy customer, etc.

Hi, I am glad to have found this thread. I have a question:
On the Gen1 M90Q/P340 what is the difference between the 35W and the 65W heatsinks? (5H40U92966 vs 5H40U92967)
From the pictures I have seen, they seem to be identical, both copper and these models also don't appear to support the heatpipe from the GPU (The P620/P1000 GPUs have their own HSF?). The only apparent difference seems to be the thick MOSFET thermal pads which the 35W version don't appear to have. Anyone knows?

Edit: upon further research, it turns out there are 3 versions of the HSF for these machines.

The M90Q Gen1 35W is an all aluminum which cannot accomodate a GPU 5H40U92964
The P340 35W which has a copper base and aluminum fins and can accomodate the pipe from the P1000 GPU 5H40U92967
The P340 and M90Q Gen1 65W which is copper base and fins and also cannot accomodate the pipe from the P1000 5H40U92966

Now which HSF would a 35W P340 with a P620 GPU (which has no heat pipe) come with?

Anyone here running ESXi on theirs? I'm thinking of replacing a bunch of Raspberry pi's with one of these and leverage my already existing Vsphere platform. It will need to have vt-d though to passthrough USB (reading a smart power meter).
