Hello,

I want to add a small 5v sonoff to my M90Q GEN 3 to turn it on remotely, for this I need:

5V and GND connection for the Sonoff power supply.

And I need the two pins of the on button so that it can switch and turn on.

Is there a pinout available on the board where it has these connections and, most importantly, dupont type so that I don't have to solder or modify anything? Just connect and move forward?

Thank you!
No there are no Dupont pins in the board.
Why you don't use wake on lan?

I'm referring to these male connectors on the motherboard, doesn't the m90q gen 3 have it?

I do not use Wake on Lan because in the past when I used it, it was not very reliable for HomeAssistant, Alexa, etc... It was more reliable sonoff which I use on all my computers, although WOL would be much easier to implement and could be done on everyone, I don't know if anything has changed...

Sonoff also allowed me to turn off the computer or restart it if I wanted, WOL did not allow me.

Also WOL does not work for me when Lenovo has been turned off for hours, it only works when it has just been turned off recently.

Has anyone had any experience with an i9-9900 (65w version of the i9900T) with the lenovo 65w upgraded fan and heatsink in a m920q? If so, how were the thermals and was it stable? Any thoughts or comments would help. Thanks

Is it possible to solder the pcie riser connector on an m80q that appears to use the same MB as the M90q? The space is there on the pcb for the connector, however, I have not been able to figure out what type of connector it is and where to source it.

I have the 9900 in a 920x. You will need to use throttlestop to tune a little otherwise it throttles the CPU down to 800 mhz under load due to PROCHOT thermal signals. I think the highest I saw the CPU package power go was 50-60 watts, I am assuming due to thermals, so you don't get the full power out of it. No issues other than that so far. I have been able to run a dedicated GPU in the PCIE slot as well but even with the biggest PSU the system will crash if the PCIE slot draws too much power (somewhere around 40ish watts I think) That is a documented problem with the PCIE slot on these machines regardless of the CPU and I haven't located a workaround.

Setting mine up as a windows 11 machine for home server so I can convert the previous server into a bare metal TrueNAS machine. If I had a 9900T I think I would be just fine and I'd even trade somebody if they wanted my 9900.

What pcie riser do I pick for Pci gen 4 for the M70Q G3 12500T
As far as I know the most current part number for this is 5C50W00933
I did have difficulty getting some GPU's to work, and reading through this tread some people have had issue with PCIE cards here and there. I have a service ticket into Lenovo but no response yet. I am using an ARC Pro A40 without issue with this riser card.

In case anyone else has/wants an Intel X710-DA2 or SolarFlare SFN5152F 10Gb SFP+ NIC, I created some 3D printable PCI brackets:

Do you know if this is a part of the M90Q Gen1 and if so, where is it located?

Thanks in advance.

Why not just setup WoL to power on remotely?
Guess you already know - magic packets for WoL can be sent from various sources

I couldn't get it to work, my 2.5g adapter is installed on m2 (I don't use the board's own ethernet)

I need to

I'm not home check for
"Power>Automatic Power On" you should see wake on Lan and some other options.
Try to activate all the given options.
I have tried and configured like this for proxmox:

But without success.

Hmm try to use the onboard ethernet port maybe it's not working with the M2 ethernet card.
