excellent alternative to those cheap Chinese x79 MB. These are quality made WS that comes with 600W gold psu and a good case. they have 8 ram slots instead of the usual 4 in those Chinese x79 boards. also the s30 supports proper s3 sleep which a lot of the Chinese x79 mb don't...

I think just the barebone mb, case, psu is already worth the $190. the fact you getting a cpus, 2x 500gb hdd, and quadro 400 are nice little bonus spare test parts!

Not to mention that you can even get lower price with best offer! I think these will go real fast!

For many I think shipping will kill the deal but I think with sea freight I can get a good deal.
Depends on how much you pay for shipping within the US. I calculated $49 on ebay to New jersey.

Also those cases look like they have collected a ton of dust. Would probably have to disassemble it and hose it down good.

A can of air will clean it all up. I can use this for preclear'n and testing of drives. It's a nice lil workstation.

What i really like about these S30 WS is that their MB and plugs are all standard and not some weird customized craps like HP or Dell. The psu is pretty good quality, but if you ever need to replace them, just swap in a regular psu.

They do work with OEM cpu like e5-2696 v2 which doesn't work on intel s2600cp

Do note that SLI for Nvidia Geforce appears not to be available with sli only working for quadro cards. I think this was mentioned to be nvidia fault not enabling this in their drivers. i haven't heard anything about amd crossfire. then again most or all those cheap chinese x79 boards dont support sli anyway.

All in all, if you want a single socket 2011 v2, this is very good deal.... i got something like this a few wks ago for $220 so this is even better.

This seller also offer a few other cheaper S30 but they only have the 2011 v1 cpu which means those would not work with any v2 cpu as boot block are not upgradable.. i don't think the $30 saving would be worth it to get those cheaper S30 WS that would limit you only to v1 cpu...

I picked up one of these for $120+shipping. It will be a nice lil bench PC to use. Slap in a better SATA card to get me SATA3 speeds and call it a day.

did you get the one with v2 cpu? if so, that's good price. hope shipping wasn't bad. but of course it's not cheap shipping as this thing is heavy.

I got the V2 cpu one, shocked that the CPU is a 4 core 4 thread CPU. Thought they all were 4/8 at least.

i got an 2603 v1 1.8 ghz cpu with no turbo or hyperthread. it's slower than a phenom 955. bet yrs faster.... lol

well, that was fast. all those s30 v2 are gone from that seller. you still got a few more for slightly more expensive at around $200. maybe msg the seller and see if you can get them to go down?
