I bought one of these on ebay and I could not enable the web interface so I configured it using the CLI.

I would like to enable the web interface but I cannot seems to get it to work, I have tried using both the service port and the inband network.

One think to note the javamode command in the CLI doesn't have an option to enable it.

network protocol none
network parms 10.10.20.157 255.255.255.0 10.10.20.1
network mgmt_vlan 1

if I do a network ? I see

(48switch) #network ?
javamode Enable/Disable.
mac-address Configure MAC Address.
mac-type Select the locally administered or burnedin MAC
address.
mgmt_vlan Configure the Management VLAN ID of the switch.
parms Configure Network Parameters of the device.
protocol Select DHCP, BootP, or None as the network config
protocol.
(48switch) #network

but when I do network javamode ?

(48switch) #network javamode ?
<cr> Press enter to execute the command.
(48switch) #network javamode

When I try to access the web console I get connection refused

any ideas?

I believe Java is only needed to display the header graphic and doesn't work anyway. I was able to get into the web interface simply by plugging a ethernet cable into one of the regular ports.

I can only access it via telnet or ssh, I have never been able to access the web UI even after a factory reset the switch.

never mind, I ran all the tests in the diagnostic image and this switch is toast...
