Kioxia does not release FW update in public.
Most of the used CD6 SSDs came from retired cryptofarms. I contacted Kioxia Enterprise Support but they asked for a purchase proof, so I guess it's hard to get FW unless you buy a brand new one from their authorized dealers.

Does anyone have firmware for KCM6XRUL3T84?
The firmware on the drive I own is 0102 and is out of date.
From my research it looked like firmware might be included in the hp firmware updater or the NVIDIA DGX suite of tools, but it is not available.

The KCM61VUL1 firmware seems to have several choices.
This appears to be an updater prepared for the Chinese market.

These drives are impossible to update without a service contract to get the tool â files. You won't get different results from an update anyway.

Does somebody happen to have the firmware for the PM6-V series? (KPM6XVUG800G to be specific)
On hddguru only the version for PM6-R is available and they don't seem to be identical.

Is this not supposed to work ?
Considering that this is HPE, it is possible that installer has a check for compliance with branded disks from HPE.
Alternatively, the firmware from HPE itself may be modified, which will not allow it to be flashed on regular version of disks.

You might also need an HPE machine too. I know some drives did require an HPE machine to flash.
