So, we use these drives at work, not the best items on the market, but they have been quiet reliable. While they are sandforce controllers, nothing crazy horrible has transpired with them.
I am not the seller, but figured someone here might be interested. Just FYI, these drives are heavily overprovisioned: ~800GB of NAND, but ~400GB usable.

Nice find. At $225 for the eBay version it's a great deal if it has some life left in it. The E100 SSD has power fail protection and uses eMLC chips rated for 30,000 P/E cycles, compared to ~1,000 for a Samsung EVO and ~3,000 for an Intel S3500. Now I just wonder how many cycles the prior owner used up? The seller does offer a 14 day return, so it's not a huge risk.

HP renew dumps a shartload of SAS SSD on the market for amazing price. Oddly the RENEW warranty does not exclude "petabytes written" for fusion i/o, The other guy like fusion i/o, nor SSD. Only age. I asked and was told they don't have a policy (yet).

HP renew is refurb/demo/open box/used but held to original warranty. I'm seeing $400-650 for 400gb SAS (sandisk mlc) based drives. Insanity pricing these days!
