NVMe 800GB Samsung drives on the label. The drives Dell used Samsung were 1715's and 1725's.

Hi there,
I got 1 too, debating on a second. Would you know if these would fit R620s or C6220s?

I figured, they wouldn't be that hard to sell if I needed to. But frankly, I have never ever sold any component I have purchased. I'll put it to use somewhere.

I do recall reading something about that adapter.

BTW, I have the new C6220 IIs which supports the v2, would you know if it would fit that one.

We are starting to get more and more servers now, will need a few for vms shortly, that is what I had in mind for the drives. If there are some 1u servers, Dell or SM that you know will take this drive please give the model numbers.

New or used? R730xd, r930, r940, r740d, I think there's a R640 variant that'll take these now too. SM just look at their NVMe drive systems. Look for orange tabs. They've got lots.

Used. Haven't bought brand new servers yet. I heard on the newer Dells you have to purchase a license for the iDrac enterprise. This veers me more towards SM.

I will keep an eye on NVMe systems. Ideally I would like ones which supports the v2 processors.

Thanks Patrick
For the v3 / v4 I think there is still about a year when we see prices coming down, so my first choice is the v2, but you never know. I'll price the newer system out sometimes this week . I don't need hot swap, can stay fixed.

I will keep my eyes open.

Awesome community you have here.
