Hi,
I have an LSI HBA connected to an Intel RES2SV240 SAS expander which has been working beautifully for a number of years now.
I’ve completed an update to my TrueNAS box today, and when powering it back on, only devices connected directly to the HBA are detected, and nothing is detected via the expander.
I’ve ruled out cabling issues and PCI slot issues, so the issue does seem to be limited to the expander itself.
I am therefore wondering, if anyone knows of any way to see if it is actually being powered on, and if it is working at all?
I can’t see any power LEDs on the expander, and as the PCI slot is just for power, it’s difficult to tell if it’s doing anything.
I’m going to order a replacement expander so I have one on hand as quickly as possible, but if there is any way I can actually diagnose the card, I’d like to do so.
Thanks for any advice you can offer
Cheers
