Played around a bit with "advanced" but that did not seem to work well. I download the connection file, Java loads then I gen an error saying:
"Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running"

Any idea how to fix this? I really want to access IPMI on my new motherboard. Using Java 7 Update 51

Go to Java settings -> Security -> then pick medium.

That should work.

I’ve got it to work like this:
Go to the Java Control Panel and click the security tab
Click the edit site list and add the IPMI address in the format
https://ipmi-address:443
The security level can be left at high to protect you from other sites
Then click OK to close the Java window
When you attempt to launch the console, you then get prompted to run the applicaton, but it doesn’t prevent you from running it.
