Issue with Aliexpress type firewall / mini PC

I have one of those mini PC fanless firewall devices that are ubiquitous on Aliexpress. It is supplied by a 12V power brick. On Friday it seems to have all of a sudden stopped working. When I plug it in the power light, a part of the switch, an ethernet port and another internal red led blink about every 5 seconds. That is all it does. No sound, no post display, nothing. i was wondering if anyone knows what this failure mechanism is? I have owned it for 7 years running pfSense exclusively and it has worked flawlessly until now. I am happy to replace it but just wanted to make sure there wasn't something simple that I was missing. I have tried holding the power button in for a long time but that did nothing. Much appreciate any guidance anyone can give.

They are easy to open up. If you have some spare ram or a spare disk hanging around, I would open it up, and replace one at a time to see if it will boot.

Owned for 7 years... It also might be the relatively famous Intel Atom C2000 bug from way back? If that's your CPU of course.
