Hi,
i wonder if someone has managed to get iSer to failover clean on a floating IP.

Have this running with regular iscsi on the ipoib, if i login to the target with iser and trigger a failover connection fails and i need to re-login.

Target is scst, initiators openiscsi/proxmox, Service-ip is managed by keepalived on an active/backup bond on two ipoib Interfaces.

would love to switch to the iser-transport for performance but can't give up clean failover.

hm, nobody ... ?

Have changed the lun`s to SRP and put DM-Multipath and proper ALUA on top, what works fine and is maybe the fastest and least cpu-consuming way.

But would still be interested if iser-targets work on floating / ha-managed IP`s at all.

I know it's an old thread but the answer is yes you can.
I'm doing so with ocf:heartbeat:IPaddr2 and RoCEv1 with Globalpause.
