Is there a 4 port version of an LSI 9207-8i ?

I like the PCIe 3.0 LSI 9207-8i with the two SFF 8087 ports. My question is, is there a version that is double that, i.e. a PCI3.0 x16 card with 4 x SFF8087. Not finding anything googling around and I wondered if anyone here might know?

The backplane on my server chassis accepts the 8087 cables directly so that's why I'm steered to that. I have a couple of M1015 cards currently and was wondering about upgrading since I'll be replacing the mainboard to something that supports PCIe3.0 soon and has x16 slots.

AFAIK, the lsi 9202-16e (dual sas2008 and the lsi 9405W-16e (tri-mode) is two of the few x16 cards.

Neither are like the 9207-8i. If your looking for 4 x SFF8087 native, then the lsi 9201-16i fits that but not pcie 3.0. If you want pcie 3.0 then you can look at the lsi 9305-16i but it's 4 x sff8643.

Maybe what u need is a lsi 9305-16i with this cable: Internal Mini-SAS Cable - SFF-8087 to SFF-8643 - 1 m | SAS Cables | StarTech.com

Also, depending on your needs, you could just use a sas2/sas3 expander with a lsi 9xxx-8i.

Thank you very much for that info, that's very helpful. Good idea with the different cable/connector on the other card as well. Certainly something to think about. Probably not worth worrying about bandwidth wise with spinning disks for my RAID 6 arrays on those SATA backplanes, but i got to thinking about it.
