is 'data recovery' from a USB stick gone silent possible?

Self explanatory... technically these are solid state drives arent they?

If I have a USB stick that one day had files and tomorrow no longer shows up... is there ANYTHING that can possibly be done??

Yes i've plugged it into a multitude of other systems. It went quiet in less than a year of use.

I'm sure with surface mount components and everything else, even attempting would be some kind of nightmare... yet i'm curious if such things are even feasible on some level or if anyone has ever done so.

I think it's technically possible to recover data (unless the nand package was damaged/fried).

Does it make sense? The answers are similar to your other thread (recover data from hdds) ._.
