Intel Xeon Platinum 8370C

Does anyone have information on this CPU ( Intel Xeon Platinum 8370C )? It's a 270W part. Google doesn't have any info on it. It seems way less expensive than the 8370 counterparts.

Not sure if it'll be distributed to OEMs or Retail, but if past evidence is any indication, the fact that it's off roadmap most likely means it'll be an Azure/Hyperscaler exclusive. You'll have to see what board Azure uses to run it, and try to pick up a similar one if you want to try running it.

If it's anything like Skylake, you'll need a board capable of booting high-power CPUs, or reflash the VRM controller over SPI to raise the power limit.

All UP and most DP LGA4189 board support up to 270W TDP. even a 300W OEM runs on a X12SPL i.e. but can be rejected by coming BIOS revisions if supermicro wants.

note: this parts not under standard warranty lilke tray SKUs, they are handled like confidential processors but are not eng.samples.
