That has 22 cores per CPU vs 18, has a higher clock speed.
However why anyone would buy that at the price is silly because it is defective it says.
Yea, that's my point. The listing clearly says it's dead as a door nail. I suppose if you're inventive you could figure out a way to scam some poor unsuspecting sucker out of his hard earned money but that just wouldn't be right.

the 2696/7 v2 has gone down a lot. But i guess that is a very long wait for that top ring v2 CPU to get to where it is now.

it was from a seller near my parents, had the cheapest price on ebay (though not by a huge amount - $120 or so each), but had shipping, so I asked if I could save money by having my dad pick it up if I bought both (meant shipping), and they replied with an offer of $200 for the pair, so I grabbed it.

now just have to source 24 32GB LRDIMMs (but picky as want it at $1.25/GB or less) and this box will be fully tricked out.

Darn missed this one, I hope more will come. Though when next gen LGA 3647 platform comes 18 core would be pretty standard.

Someone was selling hp 1u server with dual 2699 v4, 64gb DDR4 etc for $1000. It was a great deal but couldn't justify to spend that much money just to cut down on video encoding times and more importantly I don't have tima and space more for server hardware. Probably I will not see such a good deal on those cpus ever.

Hello,
I am also interested in one of the 2695s. But as I am from Europe I would like to ask for an advice concerning freight forwarder from USA to Europe.
I will be very grateful for information (PM or in here (if it is possible to put such an information in here)) about reliable forwarding company.

All the best,

Tomek
