Used the intel SFP+ from cdw, worked terrific but charges higher than other vendors. So recently I ordered several cost-effective modules from fs.com, which helps me cut down the budget.

I have a client that wants to see "Intel" on the optic and said no FS.

But I did order a few of those just for me to have :)
Why not fs? I used to be worried about this site, since their modules are insanely cheaper and shipping charge is out of my expection. But I convinced myself to have a try. No unhappy issues happen, and their free shipping now really impresses me.

Has anyone figured out how to enable unsupported sfp+ transceivers for the X520-DA 2 NICs?

In linux you can override the EPROM setting but I can't find anything on how to accomplish it via Windows.
