Mellanox is a good standard for this kind of gear but I can't help but suspect Intel is probably higher quality stuff with better drivers, software, and overall fabrication.
I also dare say you'll probably have an easier time finding support for Intel gear than mellanox in the event of an obscure issue of one were to occur. Its also likely to work more consistently on a greater range of systems.
