Intel W580 vs C256

I need to get a server board and CPU for a home server (storage, plex, etc). I am looking at two different board options. Should I go with a W580 or a C256 motherboard (and obviously the corresponding CPU)? And why? TIA!

W580:
- has audio onboard
(- no ipmi, except the sm x12sca-5f)

C256:
- ipmi
- available in atx & µatx
- optimized for front-to-back/rackmount server airflow

I would get a c256 based board because of ipmi (lifesaver for me!) and front-to-back airflow.
