Wow i wonder what this drive actually is (maybe some surplussed OEM Intel drive?) , it seem like a great price, for those wondering below is the "white box" image on newegg (you have to view the 119$ ssd drive in newegg's list view to see this image, it doesn't show up when looking at its product detail page . which is why im posting it here):

Well.. that image is a HGST SSD casing @james23. Intel was the OEM for HGST. I will report back as soon as I get these drives.

Damn, I just can't risk it as I need qty 4, if it was one or two maybe :-(

sas is a plus :-D You guys who rolled the dice may be getting a STEAL!

SAS interface is the feature that I needed the most.
Just could not find any decent SAS ssd cheap. Therefore I am willing to take a chance.

keys words being 'ssd/sas/cheap' :-D

Typically have to sacrifice and cost 9 times out of 10 is always what kills ya here.

The naming looks similar to a s3700 except they are sas. Bet they perform in lock-step.

LOL, you know me all to well...been sitting here for an hour anxiously waiting for the stock of newegg to say 'out of stock' so the temptation will go away. Imma' resist 'somehow' but hope you all score!

EDIT: Wish I could come here touting I got 24 to fill out an all sas ssd HA array right? :p
