I've got an S3520 and I'm trying to use the Intel SSD Data Center Tool but am unable to see how to:
1) Change the sector size from 512 to 4k
2) Perform a secure erase.
The physical sector size is already 4k and it will be used for ZFS so I wanted to have the actual sector size the same as well. With the Intel NVME SSD's you can use "isdct start -intelssd 0 -nvmeformat LBAformat=[0/1] SecureEraseSetting=[0/1/2] ProtectionInformation=0 MetadataSettings=0" to set the SectorSize to 4096, but I can't see in the User Guide how to set that for the SATA ones.
For secure erase, since it's a SATA drive I suppose I could use hdparm to set a security erase, I just prefer to do those using the manufacturers tools.
Is either of these possible with isdct?
