The issue was more that I needed one immediately. Oh well!

I found a S3700 100GB not being used.

@Marsh: Good point, I did not even try to check out the China vendor. I am amazed how often even vendors with a good rep are often 'good" as a buyer, with little seller history.

I'm still holding firm to my rule of 1TB for $190-230 max. It's done pretty well for me, but it takes much longer to fill my drive bays :p

I still don't understand what's so sexy about these, for the price anyway. I think these things are way inflated for what you're getting in terms of performance and endurance.

Since when does 800GB = 1TB? :eek:

I've bought 2 of these from eBay. The first was $262 and the second, bought last month was $260. Both had next to nothing in the way of writes. If you check on a regular basis you will seen them in this price range from time to time. I've seen more than I've bought.

800GB = 1TB usually if you count overprovisioning ;)

Going through my eBay history in the $190-230/TB range I've got lots of: 800 GB Optimus Ascend, 1.92TB cloudspeed eco, 800GB M510DC, 1.92TB PM863, 800GB STEC s840, 400GB HGST ssd400m, but it's on mobile so only 2 months history.
