You can run Optane 16-32GB on a PCIE NVMe adapter that fits in a pcie 1x slot. It's all about latency, not throughput when you use them as a slog. Though I would be careful using the Optane 16-32GB for production with a lot of sync writes. It's not rated for a lot of writes.

So I received 2 Micron MTFDDAV256TBN drives which are not the PRO drives in the auction. The specs are here https://www.micron.com/~/media/documents/products/data-sheet/ssd/1100_ssd.pdf

I wonder if these are comparable =/

The Intel doesn't have power loss protection but the Micron states "Power loss protection for data-at-rest" but not sure if that translates to real power loss protection. I'm conflicted on what to do at this point even thou getting another 80GB for free. The IOPS are a bit off as well compared to the Intel.
